Become a volunteer Race or Event Official in 2015
V8 Supercars relies on the enthusiasm & eagerness of our volunteers to help stage our world class events. Every V8 Supercar event has hundreds of people working behind the scenes in a number of roles to bring the event together. We use volunteers for a wide range of duties over the event weekend which range from trackside officials such as Flag Marshals and Fire Marshals to Gate Keepers and Information Booth Attendants, all of whom contribute significantly to the success of our events.
In 2015 V8 Supercars will recruit and manage volunteers for the following events:

We have a number of different positions at our events, with two different types of Volunteer Applications.
Event Officials - These are positions involved in the event operation & deal more directly with the public. These positions require no experience and include roles such as checking tickets, ushering guests & information booth staff. A full list can be found on the V8 Supercars Volunteers website.
Race Officials - Our race officials are more directly involved in the motorsport side of the event, perfect for any car enthusiasts. To be a race official, you must be CAMS accredited- to find out more information visit www.cams.com.au and click on ‘Get Involved’. Applications will close 6 weeks prior to an event or once required numbers have been reached and positions will be allocated 4 weeks before the event. You will receive a notification email advising all the details for the event and your experience over the weekend. Including your accreditation, uniforms, position information and of course details of the exclusive Volunteers after party on the Sunday night of the race.

Complimentary campsites are provided to Officials at the Townsville, Ipswich and Bathurst V8 Supercar events.
Campsites are provided to make it easier for officials travelling large distances to attend the events, as such they are limited, and are restricted.
There are limits on the amount of people on the campsites and these are stipulated in the terms and conditions on each campsite application.
It is very important that you read the terms and conditions carefully for each event as they are all different. There are specific terms and conditions that must be adhered to, and if these are not followed, you will be evicted from your campsite and unable to camp with us in the future.
To apply for a campsite, you firstly need to apply to volunteer at the above V8 Supercar events, and we need to have accepted your application. Once you have received notification of your acceptance to work at the event, you will need to log into your account on the V8 Supercars Volunteers website www.v8supercarsvolunteers.com.au and go into ‘My Applications’. You then need to select the event you require camping for, and your campsite application will appear below your position application (scroll down).
Please note these campsite applications are generic across the events, and details such as nights required, options of powered sites and number of people on the campsite differ for each event- these details will all be listed in the beginning of the terms and conditions.
Notification of your allocated campsite will appear on the bottom of your application form once it has been approved, please note we do not expect to have allocations finalised earlier than 4 weeks prior to each event, so details will be available around the same time you receive your event details notification.
