American rock band Good Charlotte will perform on the Sunday evening of this year’s Clipsal 500 Adelaide (March 4), adding to an already impressive line-up at the Adelaide Casino Live Large Concert Series.

“The band are pumped to be invited to perform exclusively at the Clipsal 500 Sunday concert with our mates The Living End plus Sneaky Sound System and Spiderbait," said lead vocalist Joel Madden.

"We love the V8 Supercars and can’t wait to be trackside.  Good Charlotte are going to put on one hell of a show so see you there.”

Fronted by twin brothers Joel and Benji Madden, Good Charlotte burst onto the scene with their single 'Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous' topping both pop and rock charts around the globe. The band has released five studio albums: Good Charlotte (2000), The Young and the Hopeless (2002), The Chronicles of Life and Death (2004), Good Morning Revival (2007), and Cardiology (2010) as well as two compilations, and total sales top 10 million records to date.

Sunday night’s Adelaide Casino Live Large Concert Series gig presented by Mix 102.3 is the ‘show-stopper’ finale of the largest ever music line-up presented at the Clipsal 500 Adelaide with Good Charlotte being joined on stage by The Living End, Sneaky Sound System, and Spiderbait.

Attendance at the concert is free to all valid Clipsal 500 Adelaide ticket holders for the day.

"We are “The Race That Rocks” and the inclusion of Good Charlotte not only backs that up, but provides another great reason for race and concert fans to attend Australia’s largest and best motor sport carnival," said Clipsal 500 Adelaide Chief Executive Mark Warren.

The 2012 Clipsal 500 Adelaide, held from March 1-4, is the first event of the 2012 V8 Supercar Championship.
