V8 SUPERCAR fans will be treated to unprecedented coverage of the Clipsal 500 on the Seven Network, starting this Friday, March 2.

For the first time, Friday’s qualifying and Top 10 Shootout will be broadcast on 7 from 1.30 - 5.30pm (AEDT).

Extensive coverage continues on Saturday, kicking off with V8Xtra from 1.00pm direct from the paddock for the first time as a preview to the first event of the V8 Supercars Championship.

A full afternoon's coverage of on-track action continues from 1.30pm to 5.30pm featuring the first race of the 2012 V8 Supercars Championship. Three support categories will also be broadcast including the newly renamed Dunlop Series, V8 Utes and Aussie Racing Cars.

On Sunday, coverage starts at 1pm and includes on track action of Touring Car Masters with Allan Moffat joining the commentary team, V8 Utes and Porsche Carrera Cup before Race 2 of the V8 Supercars Championship.

All action from the Clipsal 500 will be broadcast on Seven. BigPond Sport is also streaming live at v8supercars.com.au
