Signed to drive with Paul Morris Motorsports, he shared a car with Alan Gurr and Steve Ellery in 2006 and again returned to drive the older model VZ Commodore for the team in 2007 before stepping out after Bathurst to concentrate on his ’08 assault.
He linked with countryman Paul Cruickshank and an ex-Craig Lowndes TeamVodafone BF Falcon proved to be a good choice as Coulthard finished in the top 10 on six separate occasions, including a brilliant fifth place on home soil in Hamilton, New Zealand.
In 2009 he returned with PCR in the new colours of Wilson Security with a brand new Triple Eight-built FG Falcon and took the car to his first-ever podium finish at Symmons Plains before moving across to Walkinshaw Racing for 2010.
With the arrival of Supercheap Auto and Russell Ingall to the WR fold, Coulthard found himself looking for a new home and it’s with BJR where he has landed.
