One of Australia’s best internationally credentialed drivers in recent years with success in Indy Lights and sportscar racing, Jason Bright returns for his third straight season with Brad Jones Racing in Albury and his second carrying the Team BOC banner.

The 1995 Australian Formula Ford Champion in a field that included now-F1 driver Mark Webber, Bright raced in America in Formula Ford 2000 in 1996 and was the Australian Drivers Champion in Formula Holden in 1997.

He made his V8 Supercar debut that same season in a Valvoline Commodore at Symmons Plains and was snapped up to share a Falcon with Alan Jones at Sandown and Bathurst.

Bright took the seat from Jones in the newly-renamed Stone Brothers Racing outfit for 1998 and promptly won Bathurst before heading back to America in 2000 to race Indy Lights and pursue his dreams of Indy/Champ Car racing.

After making his Champ Car debut the same year on the Gold Coast, Bright returned home to sign full-time for the Holden Racing Team in 2001 and has since driven for Team Brock/PWR Racing and Ford Performance Racing.

In 2005 he established Britek Motorsport while still driving for FPR, and finally took the seat of his own car in his own team for the 2007 season.

Times were tough as the growing team struggled to find its feet, with Bright running under his own banner but in a car prepared by Stone Brothers Racing in 2009. In 2010 he joined Brad Jones Racing and has made a happy home with the tight-knit family-owned and run team.

This year is his 14th season as a full-time driver in the V8 Supercars Championship.
