“Justice Crew” And “The Collective” Headline Fourth Clipsal Concert
By: Clipsal 500 Adelaide
The hot news is that the 2013 Clipsal 500 Adelaide entertainment line-up has just received another mammoth boost with the announcement of a fourth concert to be staged on the first day of the event, Thursday 28 February.
“Fans are raving about the concerts we have already announced, but the bonus sting in the tail is that “Justice Crew” and “The Collective” will perform at lunchtime on the Thursday to complete our total “The Race That Rocks” line-up”, Clipsal 500 Adelaide Chief Executive Mark Warren said today.
Mr Warren said the concept of the Thursday lunchtime concert was to provide an additional daytime attraction at the event.
“Thursday is a huge day on circuit for school visits and now the kids will not only be able to see the on track racing action including gymkhana master and rally ace Ken Block, but also have the added bonus of a concert.”
Both groups will also appear at The Advertiser /Sunday Mail Foundation’s Clipsal 500 Adelaide luncheon.
Australia's dance troupe “Justice Crew” is proof that dreams can happen. From humble beginnings in Sydney's western suburbs, the seven member outfit became one of the nation’s hottest talking points when they won the 2010 "Australia's Got Talent". With the series win, they collected the victor's prize cheque and a contract with Sony Music.
"Winning the competition was like a dream come true" explains Emmanuel "EMan" Rodriguez, the unofficial front man of “Justice Crew”. (Cont.)
The hip hoppers come from diverse backgrounds, with dancing the common thread. They met through dance circles in their late teens and in early 2009 became "Justice Crew" under the mentorship of New Zealand-born dance veteran Maurice June.
“Justice Crew” are living the dream. Their smash hit single 'Boom Boom' achieved five times platinum sales and the #1 position on the ARIA charts for several weeks and collective sales in excess of one million.
This success was followed with ‘Best Night' released late last year that within 24 hours achieved top ten status in both the ITunes singles and video charts.
“Justice Crew” have completed two national headlining tours and have supported international superstars including One Direction, Chris Brown, Pitbull, Janet Jackson, and Jay Sean.
After making it to the grand finale of last year’s “X-Factor”, Sony Music released a self- titled mini-album of the five member group.
The release is a compilation of their best performances from “X-Factor” plus their first single “Surrender” which debuted at number six on the ARIA singles chart.
Members of the group are Jayden Sierra, Julian De Vizeo, Will Singe, Trent Bell, and Zach Russell.
They perform a mixture of pop, urban and dance music and also cover songs by the likes of Ed Sheeran, NKOTB, One Republic, and Jessie J.
The 2013 Clipsal 500 Adelaide will be held from 28 February – 3 March.
