What do I need?

You'll need an Internet connection, a reasonably current Windows PC, a steering wheel/pedals device (available at BigPond Shopping or computer gaming stores) and a membership in iRacing.com. After a few simple setup steps on your computer, you'll be able to start racing immediately.

Can I race a V8 Supercar straight away?

Yes and no . . . after all, this ain't no arcade game!

iRacing members can test any car they own – including the Ford Falcon FG -- on any track in the system 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. To race in an official V8 Supercar event, however, you'll need a Class C iRacing license. But don't worry, it won't take long to work your way through the Rookie and Class D licenses with cars like the Mazda MX-5, SpecRacer Ford and Mustang FR500S.

What are some of the other cars and tracks available on iRacing?

iRacing covers a wide spectrum of motorsport, with cars ranging from Grand Prix (Williams-Toyota FW31), Indycars (Dallara), sports cars (Riley MkXX) and junior formula (Star Mazda) to NASCAR (Chevrolet Impala SS), short tracks (NASCAR Tour Modifieds) and showroom stock (Mazda MX-5) racing on virtually every major track in the United States and a rapidly expanding catalogue of international circuits including Silverstone, Brands Hatch, Phillip Island and Zandvoort, with Spa-Francorchamps coming soon.
